So here's my thoughts on the ending of the previous season:

SukaSuka - Fucking fantastic. Everything came together just perfectly. The main characters finally go all out and no one is ridiculously op and the stakes are very real. AND as part of those very real stakes losses occur, but not in some lame ass Akame ga Kill kinda way where everyone dies because "omg that's so edgy" but because when you go to war you fucking lose people. *spoilers* I have to say the fact that almost all of them survived feels kinda cheap and really only one person "died" and they got reborn so that kinda undermines the whole claim that the stakes are real but they did lose their memories. For now I'm keeping this show at a 9.5/10 but if in s2 they don't figure out a way to get my otp back together then I'm going to drop the score harshly. If you give someone hope you need to do something satisfying with it and not squander that potential.

Granblue - Speaking of squandered potential while this show may have been beautiful I would say it is on the same level as the Ghost in Shell live action movie, all shell and no ghost. The characters are basically just staple characters that don't break out of their predefined tropes and for the finale everything was very blah for me because a bunch of op characters just show up out of nowhere and resolve everything like it is nbd. Not a show I would suggest to anyone familiar with the fantasy genre nor would I say it stood out enough to welcome a newbie into it. I can't help but think of shows like Marchen Awakens Romance and the impact they had on me when I was first getting into things and I would not want this to be my introduction.

Grimoire of Zero - Also didn't do much to stand out. They laid some great groundwork with the mercenary's trouble trusting anyone let alone a witch and 13's betrayal but never really did enough with it to make the emotions feel real. It just didn't pay off imo.

Shows I'm looking at for this season:

Knight's & Magic - Sounds like a ripoff of Re:zero with mechs. Even has Emilia's voice actress in it. Might pick it up if I hear good things.

Kakegurui - School for rich kids focused around high stakes gambling. Might pick it up if I hear good things.

Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu - Samurai sword spirit beat em up with dangers from the future. And it is by Ufotable aka makers of Unlimited Blade Works.

Gamers! - Comedy show about misunderstandings between gamers. Not really my thing but I saw a girl playing a snes and I'm a big fan of retrogaming so I might pick it up.

Only show I've actually picked up so far:

Fate/Apocrypha - Newest installment in the Fate series. I was super hyped because I'm a mega fan but it is a parallel world that doesn't really exist... yea the plot of the story is that the story doesn't matter at all. Also it is made by A-1 pictures... FUCK.

I like some of the stuff they did like summoning Mordred so we get to see an angsty teen Saber <3333 and making it so that the grail has an emergency system that will summon 14 servants in total if someone abuses the grail and summons 7 servants all on a single side but as cool as that is I worry 25 episodes just isn't enough time to let 28 main characters shine. I also like that they summoned Vlad the impaler and Frankenstein because that is just a great teamup.

Some of the stuff they did straight up pisses me off though. Like how they summoned Frankenstein but don't even know that Frankenstein was the scientist and the moving corpse was called "Frankenstein's monster" and did not share the same name. Also even though the story is well known they genderbent the character. Sure they did that with King Arthur previously but they had a compelling reason for it (women weren't able to hold positions of power in England at that time) and one of the main motivations of this character was wanting a wife to be created so it was most definitely male. Basically A1 is at it again with letting fanservice rule the show. Expecting it to live up to the quality of previous entries in the series has perhaps made me harsher on it than I would be an original show of this quality level but I'm miffed. It is like how after the 10th Doctor even though 11 was excellent he simply wasn't the Doctor and a lot of people hated on him for simply coming after 10. If you follow up a show like UBW you had damn well better make sure you do a top class job and this simply isn't. Stupid A1.

Original Dragon Ball is awesome. The others, not so much.

Aside from Made in Abyss. I've been watching some of the other stuff that's aired so far this season:

- Hajimete no Gal: Only watching it because Gyaru and Gal are rare. It's okay so far, not as good as Galko.
- Kakegurui: Best thing about it so far is the opening. Aside from that, not really feeling it.
- Mahoujin Guruguru: Seems okay so far, I remember watching the original forever ago.
- Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni: Pretty average. Not bad, not good, but something to watch.
- Fate/Apocrypha: Watching it for Mordred and Astolfo.

So I finally got around to watching Suzuki Mirano's new release, Jitaku Keibiin.

Suzuki Mirano's always been one of the better companies when it comes to the Hentai genre, having done things like the adaptations of the Kansen series, and more recently, Shiiku x Kanojo: Tenshi no Kousoku-hen, all of which earn near-legendary ranking status.

Now, I wasn't expecting something at that level, but seriously, they can do so much better than they did. They're Suzuki Mirano, not Queen Bee. This just feels like they didn't even try. Leader of The Enemy ||
