Hmm, well there's something like 10,000 entries on MAL's database. Although a lot of those are not what I would say constitutes a "series" as they're just short specials, a one episode OVA, a few minute long music piece. There's also the fact that plenty of series have multiple seasons which are split into separate entries. Not to mention the lack of English subtitles rendering a lot of series unwatchable unless you speak Japanese.

Given that information there's probably only a max of 2,000 series that are ultimately even watchable in the first place. "Worth watching" would be another question.
