Anyways, I've decided to put Air on hold. I have a sudden urge to rewatch the first English subbed anime I ever watched and that is Kanokon. Also, I'll give it a more fair review this time, since I believe I scored it too high a few years ago.

Lucky Star and Yuru Yuri were both very painful and grating. Both of those shows rely heavily on the comedy factor though, which wasn't anything that made me laugh or be amused in any way, shape, or fashion. The only reason I watched them in their entirety was because it was early on in my anime career, and I then watched season 2 of YY while it was airing. I watched that spin-off of Lucky Star called Miyakawa-ke no Kuufuku when that aired some months ago, and it was quite possibly the worst thing I've ever seen. I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a rusty spoon than watch another minute of it.

Whereas I found K-On relies on the moe-blobbiness and the dawww aspect. It didn't really make me laugh much but it put a smile on my face and made me feel all fuzzy and warm (something LS and YY didn't do for me). Hidamari Sketch is like 50/50 in that regard, it banks on comedy half the time yet with a touch of "daw."

But sure, you can ask me for recommendations. I consider myself a historian of this medium.

~Kanokon Review~

After rewatching it, I must admit that it isn't the greatest anime, but I did enjoy watching it. Here are the pros and cons.

Pros:
1. It's really funny at times.
2. I enjoyed the uncensored racks (I must have watched the censored version the first time around, because I was pleasantly surprised that it was uncensored the second time around).
3. The few action scenes weren't spectacular, but they were decent and provided a nice change up to the ecchi plot.

Cons:
1. The dubbed voices weren't good, particularly Chizuru's.
2. I didn't like the cheek art.
3. The romance plot could have been better.
4. The main guy character needs to look like a high school student, not a 10 year old.

My rating: 7/10 (good). If you're a big fan of ecchi anime, this is a good one to watch. If you aren't into ecchi, then I'd recommend not watching.

P.S. While this anime does not have "in bed" scenes, it is still loaded with uncensored ecchi scenes, so I'd recommend this for the age 17+ group.

I don't even want to be reminded of Kanokon, that was a legit 1/10.

As for your other post which I would've answered earlier but I forgot, for the sake of it I'll assume the character in question must not already be in a relationship. Much to Jesse's dismay and to that of my own hipster elitism, I'd pick Mio from K-On.

This anime was the first non mainstream anime I ever watched, and it got me interested in anime.

I forgot to mention, you can pick a character regardless of if they already have a relationship or not. I'll erase my answers from the previous post and put it below.

My answer: Chizuru. I'd love to have a gf like her who would be extremely loyal. I would want some of the public ecchi display to be toned down a little, but I'd enjoy being spoiled. ;)

As for the 1/10, I don't think I've seen an anime yet that was so terrible, I couldn't finish watching the series due to disgust.

bought the first 9 volumes of Rurouni Kenshin the other day. :3 got the 3 in one deal. lol it actually cost less buying the 3 in 1 manga as opposed to buying the 3 volumes seperately.

I might have read the synopsis of it on MAL, but I don't think I've seen it. I'll check it out again.

Note: I'm pretty sure most of us on the thread don't just watch old anime.
