I went to a branch of my favourite shoe shop yesterday. There used to be a couple within a 30 minute car journey but they closed last year. Now the nearest one is over an hour away.
It was worth the trip. I have a new pair of black shoes in my favourite style and a pair of pale blue are being sent by post ( for no extra charge! ) because that shop didn't have them in my size. I couldn't get a new pair of lace up shoes because they all hurt but getting 2 pairs is better than having none! The pale blue shoes are for when my youngest son gets married at the end of July....we hope the wedding can go ahead with the number of guests they want. It all depends on the Covid regulations at the time.
