Mayyybbeee ask about the wines BEFORE ordering them. I feel like this should be common sense - particularly at a restaurant that sells a steak covered in gold leaf.
The vast majority of the bill was wine.
To answer your question, though, I hate wine so I wouldn't pay a bill like that.
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known
To be honest, I don't know if I would or not. I don't have that kind of money and never did. People who have money to burn go to these places and do weird things and buy stuff they don't need only because they can. Like those who have a luxury car for everyday of the week and a plush limo for party night.
I've always thought that if Millionaires and Billionaires would live like common folk and donate the rest to different charities, what a difference it would make. I'm well aware that there are some who donate to favorite charities, but not all.
There are food pantries in my area that can't keep enough food on hand because they rely strictly on donations. When they run out of food, they lock the doors. Just think what a difference a million dollars once a year would make.
Music is the Heartbeat of the World
Let's flip a coin; heads I win, tails you lose. Fair enough?
I think this whole outrage thing is a gimmick. They knew what they were doing, absolutely NO ONE steps into a restaurant like that without knowing the (potential) costs. It isn't a question about whether or not you would pay it, because you're the one who ordered it. So obvs you have to pay the price.
Is the cost appropriate? Maybe, maybe not. The purpose of the restaurant is entertainment and novelty anyway. It's stupid.
Arrr! Only th' Devil an' I know th' where'bouts o' me treasure, an' th' one o' us who lives th' longes' should take i' all.
My friends make fun of me because I have a good income, but I am very cost conscious and selective because of it.
