It would seem that mine and your skill posts are duelling for posts (I'm winning by about 2) so I thought I would check out your thread.
And I really like what your saying, every monster should drop it's own meat,
you should be able to say, chop fish up into fillets - they heal less but you get more of them -
and yes I like it, but I think perhaps just add it to cookin without making it an entire skill.
Support.
P.S. Please check put my skill thread if you have the time to do so it's called "New Skill/Passtime: Composing" thanks
We are always stronger together

cool but the name "butchery" might be a little too intense for the hundreds of thousands of 10-year-oldz that play this game, and everyone knows, jagex would sell a thousand of us veterans to buy one new player

Seems to be a great starting idea! A few changes and some more development..You got yourself a skill!
Just a random thought while reading this, for the newer foods, the cooks in the process may even be able to put different Spices on your Dragon Steaks and whatnot.
This may even incorporate Herblore into the equation. Crushing herbs to make a blend of spices. Higher Level spices require Higher Level Butchered Foods. The end result, the higher levels in the 3 skills, the more the Finished Food will heal.
Just a Random Thought :P .
Good Luck with this and hopefully more ideas to come!
