It's a nice idea but I wouldn't support the idea simply because I play non-combat SC and that would totally stop us from "basing" pkers, so if anything you are making it easier for player killers to destroy non-combat games Proud Overseer to the "Soul Skillers" Clan - Pop in and say hello! Helpful and friendly skillers.

I've played many hundreds of games of non-combat SC games and frequently used 1elitesc as well. Unfortunately that CC has few games going these days. I've also played in Fast sc for even longer and continue to use w99 for these games.
I fully understand this would make defeating the inevitable non-combat crasher more difficult but playing clanside is the best continual defense anyhow as it limits the offender to a single game.
For me the changes I'm suggesting would likely bring folks back to the game, as it was intended to be played, that otherwise found it simply a frustrating waste of time. And the just as inevitable and frequent comment here stating "stop your crying and get your combat levels up" doesn't help one bit with the fact that you can stand in the Stealing Creation w45 for 10 minutes just waiting for a game to start as there are only 130+ cb players in the rings and lower level players don't want to join that game.
As Jagex makes more and easier ways of gaining quicker XP the need for SC clay tools seems to be dropping and without some changes I don't see any reason for the game to continue its course of continually fewer players coming to the game.

As a general in a non-combat Sc clan, I can only see this leading to increased levels of freeloaders hiding in fog clouds, which would inevitably slow games down for everyone.
If the hiding in a fog cloud was changed to a style similar to that used in fist of guthix minigame, where a player hiding in a portal house takes a continuous small amount of damage, then I may support this idea. However, there is nothing stopping a freeloader gathering 20k pts and then hiding in the cloud, dying, returning to their base and repeating the process over until the game ends.
Freeloaders are a problem as they are. Making it easier to freeload isn't good nor within keeping with the "spirit of the game" which is collecting clay. Getting trapped in a base is no fun, but such is life.

Although I've played hundreds of non-combat games my goal is to update Stealing Creation to attract lots of new players of all levels and make the game as popular as it once was (remember Jagex used to have 2 worlds for SC). I'm really not that concerned with how these changes might effect the non-combat games (Pkers and freeloaders). In my opinion these things are simply a cost of getting the clay without playing the game as it was intended. If Jagex supported non-combat games they would have responded to the hundreds of forum requests over the past couple years requesting a SC game world where combat wasn't possible. But they haven't.

It seems Stealing Creation is almost dead. I had to wait 10 minutes to start the only game going at 8PM EST last night. The game is now a high level Rangers game.

There are more folks playing non-combat games.

Much to my surprise it seems Jagex has addressed the basing problem by simply giving points for getting killed. Definitely not the solution I was looking for although it does eliminate the frustration of playing a 20 minute game for just a couple points when you or your team gets based. Unfortunately at the same time it kinda removes the need to win.
