it would waste a lot of jagex's time wich they could spend better on creating content wich we're waiting on for years like kudos island, prifddinas (?), etc. i think you should learn to throw away stuf anyway, there's no bank advisor irl saying what junk you store in your attic you should keep and what junk to throw away, you should learn to decide that yourself, and if you can do that while playing a game, then isnt that a win-win situation?

Well Sara,
"i think you should learn to throw away stuf anyway"
I certainly discovered the drop button a while ago, but its knowing what to throw away that is the problem. I really have lost interest in constantly checking prices and researching quest items to see what I will need in the future and what I won't.
"there's no bank advisor irl saying what junk you store in your attic you should keep and what junk to throw away"
I must disagree. There are financial advisers available at every bank that I know of. They will discuss with you your assets, your investments, your financial gains and your losses, your goals, hobbies and your collections. They will certainly offer advise on that to buy and what to sell.
"you should learn to decide that yourself, and if you can do that while playing a game, then isnt that a win-win situation:
No, I don't want to spend hours researching all the items I have. I want to pay someone with the money I have earned to give me sound and knowledgeable advise so I can make a quick and wise decision and move on with the game as I like to play it.

Over 500 folks here don't agree with you while just two others do.
Lets see, That's basically (the error in your favor) :
99% vote yes
1% vote no

But, as always, thanks for your input.

I like the idea its not a bad idea its like the wise old man upgraded but I do see some problems with this.
1.Like I said the wise old man dose 1 of them.
2.The G.E. runner wouldnt see much use seeing as how 10% gets costly faster then you would think.
3.You cant really be sure if a quest item is useless or not seeing as new quests come out all the time.
The rest of the idea seems good I do think we should have somthing to help keep track of whats in are bank with out having to do alot of sorting.
Maybe you could make it so you can also get your lent items back from him. Maybe even faster then with normal bankers seeing as how theres no fast option for doing it.

I think you've put forward some very interesting and cogent ideas and your proposal certainly deserves the support you've received.
I had made a suggestion (in the wrong forum) for a ring of banking that would either transfer our inventory to the bank or teleport us to _any_ bank in Runescape. The people who kindly commented were, on the whole, not too enamoured of the idea, and some of the constructive feedback corresponded to a few of the negative remarks you received.
The bank adviser/advisor is a great idea and in time could be expanded to perform the role of financial advisor.
I think the GE runner is a good idea, for a (small!) variable fee. Perhaps access to the runner could be tied in to a skill level or skill levels.
It would be great to have full access to the GE in _all_ banks. This would not stop people from going to the G.E. to light fires or admire each other's outfits or perform synchronized alching, or even engage in free trading.
(The "Mysteries of Varrock Bank" quest suggested by Paladin Wt sounds perfect, as a way to earn access to these expanded features.)
Update/upgrade the WOM to check member's quest items is not a bad idea, either. (Why not give the cranky old git something else to do while he plans his next heist?)
Your proposal prompted a groundswell of interesting suggestions. Let's hope yours makes its way through the Jagex review process and is implemented as early as next year.
