Ahh, Cash my Gold, Are you questioning the spelling of "adviser" vs "advisor".
I thought about this as I made my original posting. The two spellings are both considered correct but "adviser" is much more commonly used in print both here in the USA and in the UK.
Worldwide things are different. A quick online search shows "advisor" with over 80 million hits vs "adviser" having just under 30 million. My readings into the rules of the Associated Press show they prohibit the use of "advisor" and only print "adviser", and my Webster Dictionary lists only "adviser" with "advisor" as an alternate spelling.
All this said, I had a college "advisor", never an "adviser".
And most important of all, the Runescape spellchecker flags "advisor" as incorrect while accepting "adviser"
