TLDR: ability to combine/separate salvage linearly like potion dose decanting

When I searched the forms, I'm surprised I didn't see anything about salvage. If I missed a post, please just link it.

Here are the basic ideas:
- Can only 'decant' the same metals (rune with rune, addy with addy, ext)
- Can only 'decant' the same type (blunt with blunt). This is for disassembly scaling.
- Scaling: tiny = 1, small =2, med = 3, Lg = 4, huge =5
- Scaling for high alch and disassembly components are already in place
- Alternatively: can only be done at anvil/forge/furnace with smithing lvl

If we do NOT add the requirement for doing this at a furnace/forge, then this could be a great quality of life improvement for extending Slayer runs for monsters like Jellies, as the tiny/small pieces can be combined into Huge pieces, thus saving inventory space. Also will allow magic notepaper to be more economically useful for low-mid level players.

For disassembly, it would be a quality of life improvement because it will take a lot less time to disassemble 100 Huge pieces instead of 500 Tiny pieces.

For GE and Trading, this should help stabilize the price of the smaller pieces, because the cost of High Alchemy can be distributed more easily.
Example of prices:
say the cost of high alch is 1,000gp (1k)
The cost of high alching can be distributed over all of it's parts:
huge = 1,000gp /5 pieces = 200gp/piece
Medium = 333gp/piece (1k/3)
tiny = 1000gp/1 piece

Thus the distributed cost to high alch a tiny addy plate now becomes 200, while it's currently selling for 1k. We could buy 5 tiny addy plates for 5k (5x1k=5k) and combine them into 1 huge plate which high alchs for (10k-1k =) 9k. This would drive the price of tiny addy plates from 1k to 1.8k (9k/5=1.8k).

This would also make it more viable to high alch Steel and Mithril pieces, as their huge piece high alch value is actually above the (current) cost to alch. (Huge steel = 1.2k HA value)

Also, hire me please! :D

With inflation a thing it's not really the best idea to encourage alching even more - not only as you said it by making steel and mithril salvage more viable for that process in the first place, but also reducing the amount of alchings (and thus the amount of nature runes) required to generate the same amount of GP.

Not saying that this feature would be a bad idea per se, since inventory management is a thing at lower levels, but since inflation is an issue it must come with some kind of costs - let's say something like 10 % of the alch value per piece of salvage converted.

Otherwise if it's about your issue it would perfectly work if you could break down salvage to smaller pieces (but not the other way around) free of charge - similar to granite and sandstone - which obviously doesn't help with your notepaper consumption - but at least with your inventory management issues.
