So the current idea behind Protection is lowering the attraction. Serves no purpose now since you can ignore all events without worry. So it popped up, why not make that its function. Make it increase the base xp for a ritual in exchange for lowering the attraction. High attraction is still gonna be the best outright, but for those of us not bothered with it and wanting afking its a nice trade off and a reason to buy/make more inks.
