It is sort of inspired by another game, but also you can see hints of what it could be like with rockortunities. The idea is randomly whenever you are doing an activity, if you click the instant the game tells you to, to trigger reflexes, you click and you have a greater chance then of procuring a resource; and faster than had you let the moment pass by. So the idea isn't that it would detract from normal success rates, but reward you more for paying attention and it would make a more engaging experience. With a higher agility level and higher level in the skill you're using, it would happen more frequently. For example with a higher woodcutting level you may hone in on the part of the wood that has been already chopped, at a higher woodcutting level you'd more accurately chop the same area of the tree that has been worn away, and with reflexes you'd get to that same part of the tree and faster. With mining very much the same, so it wouldn't only be reflexes, but reflexes along with accuracy. There'd be no point in having reflexes if they didn't come along with a more accurate attempt at what you're doing, so they must both happen to make it worth doing.
This would allow for gizmos with a higher chance of reflexes being triggered, and some perhaps for a longer period that you have to react, but more likely the sooner you react.

Not a fan of the concept, I'm afraid. There's already too many elements of gameplay which discriminate against players with physical disabilities which prevent them from making rapid precise mouse clicks or keystrokes - virtually all of the bosses demand you be right on top of the action to move away or change equipment as soon as an attack starts channelling, which is pointless if it takes you several seconds to line up the mouse and click.

I skill because big parts of the game design prevent me from taking part - in bossing, high-level slayer, team combat/minigames, etc. Skilling doesn't carry the risk of failure from missing a vital mouseclick in the milliseconds before something happens, and I would hate for anything to be introduced which changed that.

That said, there is already a similar mechanic in safecracking, where clicking immediately after a flash unlocks the safe faster, but you're not penalised for missing it - in fact, the continuing XP from not clicking is quite a decent rate which you would otherwise lose out on.
