I have come up with a good idea of how the MQC Lore Book Drops could be obtained, how about as well as the option of having to kill the same monster over and over until you get the drop (which, let's be honest, having this as the only option is just needless padding, killing monsters because you want to is fun but if you are getting a book drop there should be a more interesting and challenging way that garuntees the book drop), there is also an option (after killing about 300 of the ordinary version of the monster) of an underground dungeon with puzzles, challenges, a few monsters around to keep you on your toes, and at the end, a stronger version of the ordinary version of the monster (that you can choose to keep killing until the book if you want), defeating this stronger version would get you the book 100% (since it's harder)
I'm open to ideas but I just personally think making MQC lore drops based more on skill than luck would be cool, after all you'd think a Master
Quest
cape would have you go on an exciting challenging adventure to definitely get these lore drops, feel free to post your thoughts
On a side note, if they release more Reqs for Comp/MQC, it would be best if theynot too luck/RNG focused and has mostly an element of skill involved, so getting the drops for the reqs are not too luck based in when you get them
200m Dunge, Rc, Mage and invention accomplished, + 120 Constitution/Slayer/Range/Summoning/Woodcutting/Mining/Defence/Strength and 110m fishing, got comp/MQC and 200m Fishing/Woodcutting/Mining as well as 120 herb/Farming/Cooking most 120s just Agility, Theiving, Hunter and Prayer left

The option that you mention sounds quite similar to something we already have, Dungeoneering. I for one actually don’t mind killing for lore drops, much like killing monsters for any other kind of drop. I think that is just part of the game as it is and how a lot of people like it. Lots of lore drops like books usually come naturally when doing other achievements of slayer.

Some people do like killing until a drop and I can understand that
having both options would work nicely as there are some times I do enjoy killing a monster for a bit, but every now and even I wouldn't mind something a bit more adventurous!

Killing thing multiple times is how you get any sort of drop that isnt 100% so why should these be any different?
Also whats said in you ED thread also applies here:
Original message details are unavailable.
things arent suppose to be easy nor be quick
I'm not sure how making a drop gauranteed is easier if the journey there is harder, with tougher bosses for example?
They could even add in elements to shake it up, like food in your inventory dissapearing if you stand still too long, amongst others.

It's all pointless. The books should be a 100% drop rate now.
I agree - back in late 2016 I did make a post suggesting that future MQC reqs shouldn't be so RNG/Luck based and instead be based more on skill and adventuring (with it being called the Master
Quest
Cape they are the kind of requirements you'd expect)

Yet isnt getting a rare drop just another way of proving ones "skill"?
I mean in order to slay so many of said monsters, it takes pretty decent skill to do so.

Until you realise it can take over 1k kills, why would having an option to kill a lesser number (like 300) of a variant of the monster that has things like a higher max hit/ more attacks be a problem?
