I like Runescape because I've made many great friends who I stay in touch with even outside of RS.
I prefer a lot of my RS friends to my IRL friends and I feel I can be at peace when I scape.

I always sort of knew it but refused to believe it entirely. However, Runescape has taught me that yes it's really true; it's not what you know, it's who you know that makes the difference.

Runescape was my childhood, my brothers childhood, and many of my friends childhood. Dem memories of camping green dragons with my brother in the wilderness as mid level players, protecting each other from Pkers and at one time revenants, the good old days lol.

They've all moved on with time, I stayed because I still enjoyed the game because of it's unique combat and the mass amounts of stats to train and content to complete.

But sadly, I too am leaving Runescape, this company has become a company I personally do not wish to support anymore, with the direction they've taken Runescape in terms of major updates (Combat mainly), and also the direction in terms of MTX/Super Sonic Ads/RWTing GP. Devaluing the high scores with MTX, etc.

However, if I could relive my childhood, I wouldn't do it differently, but I'd still come to the same conclusion in the year 2014, that it is time to give up on any hope of the current state of Rs improving.
