Hear hear! Absolutely.
My work frequently has me dealing with information breaches or service interruptions at various companies, and the response to customers is so often generic, unhelpful, and very delayed. In my experience, the best responses tend to be from cybersecurity companies who truly understand the ramifications of good incident response, and companies like Jagex whose deep relationships with its customer base is really the lifeblood of the organisation.
I applaud you for the frequent updates, including an appropriate level of information in how the recovery efforts are going, and the undoubtedly very very long hours that those directly involved in the recovery must be putting in.
Of course incidents will happen, whether technical mistakes, failures by third parties that are out of your control, or attacks. But how you deal with them when they happen is what matters. And you've been awesome all the way!
