I haven't been so immersed in a fantasy world/game for many many years. It brings back good, old, childhood feelings of me pulling all-nighters, playing my favourite D&D isometric games! I can't believe how RS had slipped under my radar all these years!
I love the RPG elements and the depth that exists in everything. Quests, Crafting, Game Mechanics, Exploration, Adventure, Lore, Art, Music... Everything is inter-related and inter-connected in a non-linear, multi-layered fashion!
Couldn't help but notice how the RS community is divided in RS3 vs OSRS. Makes me a little sad, as a newcomer in this wonderful world, to see people fight over it. You both are part of something beautiful and unique. Cherish it and appreciate it, my peeps! I get the reasons OSRSers are so vocal against RS3, but if the uninfluenced opinion of a newcomer counts for something, I can tell you that the spirit of the Old-School RPGs formula is still here. Anything modernly added feels like an excessive icing, but the cake we love is still there! Just don't eat so much icing ;P
Love you devs, love you players! Thank you for what you have created! Now excuse me, but I have a second life to live in Gielinor...or was it the first...?
