I just finished the quest, and it's one of my favourites. I enjoy this type of quest more than some other types.

In the quest, it's explained why in the heck Guthix allowed himself to be killed. That was clever and likely the best answer possible for such an otherwise odd event. Additionally, I did not see Zaros's actions as especially out-of-character. The quest made a sort of sense and didn't make me cringe, as so many movies do today, cringe at how they don't make sense.

The religious explanations were clever as well, such as Zaros giving his followers a purpose and being beyond understanding. Probably the most enjoyable aspect of runescape for me now is seeing the unexpected religious/ideological explanations and developments in the game. I somewhat miss the old simplicity and mystery of Sara, Guthix, Zam; but the new gods are fun.

The developers must be unusually brilliant and well educated. Zaros and Seren are, in a sense, absolute strength vs. absolute (irresistible) beauty. I can't believe a game adapted such a high concept. To see forgotten, or neglected, concepts is pleasing.

... Also, I'm pretty sure there wasn't a single reference to Nietzsche in the entire quest, which was pleasant.
I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

Personally, I like the fact that even though the quest has a lot of lore drops and concludes with a twist that dramatically effects the world, a lot of characters, and the players' relationships with those characters, it still has a lot of comic relief.

Loved the use of Sir Owen. He's great early on as he complains about how the White Knights are slowed down with all sorts of 'red tape' and procedures. And his reaction to Sir Vey Lance's reveal is priceless.

And the revelation about the source of the 'pun' names for so many of the White Knight and Temple Knight characters is hilarious!
