I heard a rumor going around about the removal of the Duel Arena coming soon and I couldn't be happier! That place was the one thing that was holding me back from progression cause I just can't seem to help myself at times lol If the rumors are true, then I couldn't thank you enough. Very exciting news, indeed :D . I'm sure there's a clip somewhere on Twitch of Mod Sween confirming it. It should be noted that the plan is long-term, reportedly.

people WILL find a way to gamble their gp this is a fact everyone needs to accept. WHY remove a SAFE way to stake your money?

if they want us to move to 3rd party sites to stake our money and take on MORE risk then so be it but more people will get scammed

This would probably be the best update in the game as it would make me quit this game for good like many other players. This will just be a repeat of the same kind of mass quitting like the removal of wilderness caused back in the day. Runescape private servers will be booming for sure when this goes through, I might need to get back on that bussenes now that I think of it.

You would like that would you not? That would be one less player who might pass you on the high scores list.

I lost it all staking twice in row, the first time was to a player with 99 summoning who killed me with a ripper demon and the second time involved using a polypore staff. I lost all my gold but I did not quit.

I suppose you're just persistent then huh?

or you forked over some cashy washy to jagex to make a little back.

but imo the duel arena fuels some really gross behavior, where players sell their real life belongings to buy back their fortunes using bonds.
