What is it about Runescape? I began playing Runescape when I was
11 years old, over 5,300 days ago.
Thanks to our state going into a bit of a quarantine, I decided to pick it up again. Now, I'm introducing
my wife and son to the game,
ironically my
son just turned 11 years old.
Old school has changed so much since I've been away, but picking up the controls again is so natural. It's been years since I played, the last I remember the Barrows being released into the game. Yet coming back to everything it's the same feeling of accomplishment and enjoyment. Not too difficult, but not the easiest either.
My son has cerebral palsy, my wife being epileptic and a cancer survivor are loving the game, and all they've done is put their feet in the water with woodcutting. My character being reset it's a great time leveling up along the same routes I took years ago, while introducing them to the different elements of the game.
I suppose at the end of the day, I want to thank Jagex, the community of amazing players, and the staff that makes everything run smoothly for us. You've given my family a great bonding tool, and a massive stress reduction with the quarantine active in my area.
Thank you all for all you do for us!
