Does the floor size/complexity impact chances of getting shard or is complexity 1 the quickest way to get it?

I’d just do floors as usual, but I dunno. Could you do elite dungeons? I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity.

I thieved for a good while, no shard. Logged in some days later, got it next pick pocket. That made me think complexity 1 would be fastest for you. It is just a guess.
