~Dark Facet of Luck Question~

Yesterday I received a Dark Onyx Core and now I'm trying to figure out where best to use it.

I have read that I can use it on my Hazelmere's Signet Ring. However, I'm unable to find any reference to what the new item will be named.

When searching the Grand Exchange Database, I find only these items when searching for "facet":

- Dark Facet of Grace
- Dark Facet of Luck
- Dark Facet of Passage

According to the wiki, these are the only items that can be made when using the Dark Onyx Core.

My question is, what differentiates the LOTD and HSR versions of Dark Facet of Luck?


I don't want to use it on my HSR to find it's no different than using it on a LOTD.

Typically, I think I have finally understood the mechanics moments after posting this thread.

It seems that the items don't actually change. When the Dark Facet of Luck is made, I can "use" it to apply the enchantment to my character, and it's active whenever I am wearing a LOTD or HSR.

Alternatively, I can trade the Dark Facet of Luck.

If this is wrong, please correct me. Otherwise, I'll leave this here in case other players in the future become confused like I was.

hey there,

you dont need HSR or LOTD to make the DFOL.

To use the effects all you need is to own the DFOL and the relic but i do recommend to wear the DFOL to make sure that the buff is correctly added to the gameplay.

For all the info i recommend to read the runescape wikipedia.

The difference between the rings are also shown on the wiki but in short the DFOL has all bonusses the HSR has+ 1 additional teleport and a chance of double caskets and less clue steps. so its a HSR and orlando in 1 in a way. but for a good price, trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

Thanks for your reply Raphtalia.

I don't use the luck relic as I find the teleports on the ring to be too useful to waste a relic spot.

DFOL doesn't look to have the double drop chances HSR has, but reading the wiki it says I'll get the DFOL bonuses on HSR so long as I am wearing HSR.
