Hello,

I'm wondering if the release of Necromancy would bring down the prices of already-existing runes.

I have a bulk number of nature and blood runes; however, I don't know if I should sell them before the new skill release or just keep them(in case prices are stable or are increasing).

Can anyone give me a serious advice on this? Thanks very much.

Well none of us really know the long term effects of Necro; but as for the short/medium these are my honest ramblings/estimations.

Sell your Bloods.
Hold your Natures.

If Necro is either really good fun to play or highly efficient to use, then Bloods will drop for two reasons. Firstly through less use of Ancients and secondly through increased farming of them through drops at Barrows and Slayer locations where players will be training Necro in combat.

I know Lunar use for heal spells might increase but that just wouldn't offset the drop. If Necro sucks hard, then I can't really see Bloods increasing that much anyway, maybe a little bit but they're already high for dxp.

Natures would give me more confidence because they're a rune for skilling and some skillers will just ignore/hate Necromancy. They're always in demand and with 4 new runes arriving to train Necromancy with, that means a lot of pure essence is going to be used for runecrafting the new ones for profits in the first few weeks as the hype train kicks in.

If Nats don't come into the game so much, they have a much better chance of continuous use and therefore a price rise before the crafters return to making them again. As they will after price drops on the 4 new necro runes after the initial surge of the new skill training.

Just my opinion anyway.

I have to agree with BrunoNutto for much the same logic - Bloods are going to become (slightly) less popular as a new combat style (which likely doesn't use them) is going to become available, meaning that there are more options to choose from, further splitting the 'pie' of all players who use various combat styles, making the 'magic slice' of that pie smaller.

Natures however - that I see slightly rising in price, as there are likely a bunch of new alchable items that are going to come into play and will need nature runes to alch them.
Things may be looking down now, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel;
Do you think I should get off the tracks?
