I wouldn't say it's a worthless investment if re-released, there have been cases where they released an item a few times then never again. If something hasn't been re-released doesn't mean its safer either. I own some myself but it's only a small percentage of my total in-game wealth, so if you think they will rise don't yolo, invest a small portion of your net worth.
