GE tax being added to game, and being able to trade above 2.147m on GE coming confirmed in RSGUY interview, lets see what happens to the rare prices now that it will be harder to manip :)

Note to anyone complaining "wahhh another person crying manip without any proof" they literally just said on the stream that phats are being traded between the same exact players oer and over again artificially increasing the price which they are not happy with. Where do you take a sick horse?

Was it confirmed as in fake trades with alt accounts or just the same players? I need my blue charms back.

Yes, Phats are traded between rich players lmao... And there's only a handful of them, so of course they are traded between the same players... None new players make 40b+ overnight, where's the logic?

I'm really glad that we finally can trade above max cash! It's going to be really fun to flip phats now, without wasting hours trying to buy/sell on street

We have just entered a new Era!

Mod Jack said this, but I am not sure if they have really done too much research or if it is just a PR thing. Jagex only said the update will be addressing the death costs and the partyhat/rares market is a totally different issue. Mass contributor to deaths coffers.

Beware Price Manipulation

- Investigate accounts that people claim to trade with, be cautious if the RuneScape account seems to be inactive for the last few months or appears to be an alt.

- Check a person's post history to see if they only list their sales and not buys or vice versa. Their post history will show their intentions very clearly. If they only list sales, they are trying to increase prices. If they only list buys, they are trying to decrease prices.

- Sometimes, people inflate their sales by overpricing an item involved in the trade.

- Sometimes, people post ranges for their benefit and don't reflect the recent trades.

- Some users will change their forums examination message to claim they are accurate price checkers, this falls in a grey area, and Forum Moderators are unable to take action, be aware that some of these are false. They may even mention this in their post to try and deceive people.

- If a post looks suspicious, for example, failing to mention second parties, screenshots, or prices that seem wildly inaccurate compared to recent trades within the thread, be very cautious.

- People who manipulate and use false ranges usually appear off in-game and are never online to answer any queries about their price range list.

- Research the ranges advertised to see if they include actual recent trades within the thread.

- Look for reports verified by both parties involved with the transactions.


It's a team effort to keep the community safe since the Forum Moderators or Jagex Moderators can't do anything about it.

I sold around 14 x Red Santa's starting at 4b going down to 3.7b this morning.

I only started taking pictures towards then end because I thought I should probably be posting the sales.
