Last price update almost 2 weeks ago. Are prices being posted somewhere else or has raising the GP cap proven that this thread and it's community was a scam the whole time.
People are more protective of prices because they are actively using them in the GE even after a purchase/sale. They don't want to share the price because they fear being undercut.

You think they are on the decline?
And if they are on the decline, why do you think that is? Just because of people selling stuff to level up the new skill?
They obviously are. I've lost 10b on mine, others have lost far more. Anyone still petending like they're going up or holding stable at this point is oblivious at best.

Theres lots of reasons this is happening, each playing a small or large part on the overall whole.
GE tax removing gold helps reduce the amount of gold buyers have available across the board, while lowering margins at the same prices.
GE allows sellers and buyers to compete while offline or while doing other things, meaning that you no longer have to be committed to not playing the game to camp out and sell your rares. Much greater seller competition as a result.
Hats can be traded for cash instead of shards now. When transactions aren't a math equation like "Easter + mask + disk + 30k shards = black santa + green h'ween" it's far easier to track pricing accurately. It also increases the frequency of trades.
Harder to scam when all sales are item-for-cash, instead of shards and cash.
And yes, short term because there's a demand for a new skill, which as usual means selloffs of rares to fund faster training.
