It’s not discontinued, could return next Christmas, if any don’t know. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

Always need to consider the the other possible outcome and potential profits that could come from this very rare item with an overly inflated economy.
Faith is lost in tokens, Gphats are in way too plentiful, dyes are coming in and out of the game PVM items(s) and hero items are constantly trickling into the game. OG rares are too expensive to be bought up by majority.
Low volume items such as “3rd age” gear being pumped and dumped, 3a Ammy is floating about 500m and there would be way more of them in game than GSH.
Therefore the potential for GSH to rise quite a bit I very possible.

?????? it's stated 0.005% or 1/20000 for gsh from grotto displayed the same info in game. am i missing something from the ppl talking about the drop rate being vague or unknown?

i think next year they will do the same thing as previous years, some new items and items from past events in 1 collection. so probs new items and items from prvious years easier to obtain boosting the droprates of older items. and a new item that is harder to get. just like last xmas turkeys were easy to get next year its going to be easier to get and some newer items in the old drop table/drop rate of turkeys making those easier to get. and the new item hard to get. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

I would think the reason behind saying " may or may not be discontinued " is simply to give more ppl a chance at obtaining one through out the year. Before a new item lands and they then make green discontinued :P time will tell. personally i think its like investing in penny stocks, high risk high reward.
