Has anyone successfully removed a dye from an FSOA recently (Past week or two) and had the base item drop as broken using the red portal? Or if anyone is planning on doing this can I get screens of it working successfully? Trying to get some answers about possible scamming so I appreciate any help.

These dyes may be acquired from hard, elite, and master Treasure Trails and can be used to dye most level 90 and greater armour and weapons. This process is irreversible, the dye is used up in the process, and the dyed versions of equipment become permanently untradeable unless killed for it in dangerous PvP combat . Even then, dyed weapons lost on death are simply converted into a broken version of the original , with the dye being lost in the process.

Not really asking if anyone is willing to test it. Just wondering if anyone has done it themselves lately and can confirm what's on the wiki has worked for them. Or if they were planning it, to tell me if it worked or not.

Back when I had a staking addiction from sand casino I had lots of dyed items, at one point I had a friend kill me in red portal to undye ZGS and SGB. I lost the dyes but he got the items and just traded me the broken versions, repaired at house and sold them in G.E and went staking. So yes, it does work, just lose the dye in process. Do this with a trusted friend though so they don't take your staff and just run away. One of the biggest rs3 stakers. - 80b rs3 pot (won) and 140b (lost)
