100% sure that this bone is a discontinued tradable item, I got some from tutorial island before an update, now rats in tutorial island didn't drop it anymore. Probably the rare shrimp is from the same time before an update.

Nice, it seems possible that it came from there. Yes, we believe the shrimp is also from tutorial island, but no confirmation yet.

I have added you to see the bone.

Thanks for clarifying Toyboy!

The gaunts from FoG are not tradable when fully charged,
The worn out ones were tradable but had the examine "A bit worse for wear" (source runehq)

Since august, 10 2015 they were removed from FoG and became a drop from hellhounds or Nechryaels for a (certain) period,
(for how long?), or all the way until the M&S Rework?

So, im starting to believe the rare gauntlets are actualy from a drop rather than from FoG.

@ Elgoog & Toyboy51:
Elgoog is correct on Rune Gauntlets being removed from the Fist of Guthix mini-game on August 10th 2015. When this happend, they no longer required a charge (as they did in FoG) and all FoG Gauntlets had the examine text: "I have to keep my hands safe!" After being removed from FoG, gauntlets became a drop from hellhounds & Nechryaels up until the Mining & Smithing update. During which they no longer became an NPC drop & were only created through Smithing with the ability to upgrade them from tier +1 through +3; all of which contained the examine text: "A pair of rune gauntlets." So it was with the Mining & Smithing rework update that created the two versions of 'Rune Gauntlets'. Unlike their new normal counterparts, the discontinued gauntlets kept their original coding (and examine text), but could only be traded directly between players. Hope this helped clear up the history behind 'Rare Rune Gauntlets'.
^_^

@ Likes to afk:
'Mining & Smithing Flyers' range in price from 1.5M-3M. They do go up in value with bigger bulk collections. I have seen people pay 4M ea for them but this is a best case scenario with a large collection.

@ EuToNaRua:
Unlike the 'Rare Raw Shrimp' believed to be discontinued from tutorial island, I can confirm that the tutorial island bones are in fact discontinued as the rats in tutorial island don't drop them anymore. I'm doing more research before adding them to this forums list though.
