I dont even have to click those to know what youre linking haha. But alrighty, my bad then.
"Itnachos11" FC is a friends chat for PCing nothing because you're not allowed in.
the change to sigil and codex being all about an improvement to its "cost of use" metric means it is 100% appropriate to discuss parameters like... will a slayer codex ever be cheaper than what it costs to come up with 60 pop components? is its minimum GE price set erroneously? should we discuss that to point of agreement... then we can ask jagex to adjust its GE price to be more accurate and "
less confusing
"
seeking clarity isn't manipulation.
edit/add: so... 60 pop components... even with the dino armour's somewhat malleable ge values during the week of themed clan cup BGH... its going to have some minimums that are not correctly set at GE right now. of course you can make all of your own, but thats going to take forever, and wind up not affecting p2p or GE values. Simplest tradeable items like death lotus hood have been stable at like 1m per comp for a long time, so there is kinda a minimum of like 60m in just pop components to use the new slayer codex, and thats far from what the min GE value was set for.

oh yeah well beyond witch hunting. I wrote to jagex and asked they adjust GE values.
I think its safe to say all the new slayer codexes should have been set at min on GE to 60m ea at release. Theyre all set at 8m and thats causing this problem.

yeah tryin to be calm about it...

This is far from accurate as a hood gave 3 components. Also, body/chest could be augmented and levelled to give 12 components each. So they were closer to 400k ea if using hood or 250k each if levelling gear.
Also didn't see anybody complaining about Sigil prices when those were wildly inaccurate and I'd suggest you were wasting your time messaging jagex about ge price. Many, many, MANY items are far from their true value, just a matter of waiting for ge to catch up
well if they hired a guy to fix the GE tab of this webpage and make it super accurate then this particular thread becomes superfluous, so Im not even suggesting it for its own virtues... but because this week's update is driven by a desire for clarity... and they stated the goal is to make it "
less confusing
" then yeah we should be debating, at least in part, what the value for those things should be.
your metrics for leveling items is really not the sort of thing a player would do to make a tradeable item. Im not sure factoring 12 comps an item for purpose of assigning trade values is ever going to come true. I could be wrong. Maybe there are people wearing bad gear somewhere like its their job, but Ive never seen it.
Im glad you correct me that hood dissassembles for 3, but its got further complicating factors like buy limit of 2, maybe make 1 or 2 a day if you were grinding taijutu searching lots of islands, but otherwise limited by voyages to like 1 hood a day... so yeah I see where you can argue its free, 250k per, 600k per, but for people saving the most time 1m per still aint entirely wrong. I can easily posit that no one has bought a death lotus hood for 750k ever on ge. not once.
so... we checked the price, and its wrong, so we should alert them, or else why waste the text anywhere?

I would suggest getting in contact with Mod Timbo, if you want items where the gap between the actual average traded price (they obviously have this data internally) vs GE guide prices, to be changed to more appropriate GE guide prices.
Although, he doesn't do these very often, as you can see in these tweets from 2015 (https://twitter.com/jagextimbo/status/567343948377505794) and 2017 (https://twitter.com/jagextimbo/status/862712167581265924). I read he has to do this manually for every item, which is strange since he could do that automatically based on the internal data available. Perhaps it's to weed out any price manipulation, who knows.
Clue Drops ->
3a Range Top (h357), 3a Full Helm (h439), 3a Druidic Staff (e969), Barrows Dye (h1755, h2546, e680, e1567, e2038, e2160, m480, m783, m862), Shadow Dye (e510, e1970, e1985, h2948), Ice Dye (e1539, e2804), 3a Dye (e3129)
