how bout none of the rewards can be transfer to the main game. so nobody is forced to participate to get the items. why not just have an xp competition event in main game where we can get the halos and add skilling pet halo version to main game as well. why not just have the event in the main game that way any xp gained will go towards 120's and 200mxp

I don't think so as the new and lapsed players asked for the rewards, and RS3 learned it from OSRS Leagues they can make more money this way. I doubt RS3 will give up the opportunity that Jagex is using to monetize even OSRS.

Not exactly, at least in the RS3. As you can see the rewards are mostly milestone rewards with a few competition rewards. Nothing is rare at all and I don't see Jagex labelling them "rare" anyway.

Lapsed players probably asked for something they can earn through playing FSW, similar to Golden Party Hats that aren't rare but required completion of specific tasks. If they asked for "rare" rewards, it would be like the Green Santa or kill bosses to get tickets to enter Boss Bash Raffle for rare prizes categories.
