It has been announced that GwD3 and the shard of erebus are due to release
This is going to add new items and things to the game

Any thoughts on the ability to rationalise our banks when new items and such are released?
Its been a long standing suggestion that your trying to help us with space
- nothing has been said about a new ability to combine the shards
- nothing has been said about extra bank space additions
Is this going to be likely?

Any support from the community here?

Since the Shard of Erebus has 70-ish skill requirements, I'll guess new items start from the level 70. Such level 70 items will probably bump the old GWD1 item out of the bank as the new ones are the better level 70 gear going forward. So we probably just get rid of the old GWD1 gear and the new level 70 gear just occupy the bankslots. Hence, no new bankslots are needed.

The question is whether there are new BiS gear, maybe T95? If so, then we may need a couple more bankslots for them but it is really not a big issue.

The other things is new items don't necessary mean new gear or items we need to keep in our bank. Remember, ability codex, totems, relics and such don't sit in our bank but are either consumed or placed outside our bank rather. Again, when heaps of such new items were added the past 2 years or so, noticeably not many new bankslots are needed and therefore not added.

There are plenty of reasons to have stuff other than just the best gear. So probably more bankslots will be used, yes.

As I mentioned, we have stuff and a lot of stuff other than gear added the last few years, but they aren't stored in the bank at all. We have totem post and the Monolith to take care of totems and relics. We have Archaeology material boxes and we can store all the ores and bars at a furnace. We also have Diango to store most of our non-gear cosmetic stuff. We have the cosmetic and pet interfaces to store almost all cosmetics and pets.

RS3 simply has a lot of storage devices outside the bank added. As such. I am only using 800 bankslots although I have well over 1,000.

If only ppl would start using these^ more often, then youd have bankspace for days.

Considering that is some suggestion, that is supposed to help players conserving bank space, rather than one of the endless amount of hoarder things 'I want more slots to hoard random junk and when I'll get them, they're filled within half an hour anyway so I need even more until it's either infinite or enough to keep one copy of each item ingame' threads - I'll get fully behind that.

Sure - the zaros shard is fairly redundant for high levelled players, but mah is not - and won't ever be - unless you don't bother about doing GWD2 and depending on how erebus is implemented it also most likely won't be - so what is actually wrong allowing players to combine those shards in some way to save 1 or 2 slots - after all it's also a micro second actual hoarders will be able to hold up with bank space given to them.
