It has been almost a year.

1. Is Elite Sirenic/Tect ever going to be on par with Augmented Custom Fit Trimmed Spiked Masterwork?

The 3 T92 armours cost about the same for the first purchase. The mw takes 60m to repair, while the elites costs upward of 200m(?)

CTMW does not degrade to dust.

You do not have to spend 3b to make your ctmw not degrade to dust. (dyed elites)

CTMW has a set effect while the elites do not.

CTMW does not degrade during tasks and has double the charges.

I would honestly think this is higher on the list than pvm hub and arch.

I've used my ctmw afking in abyss, doing quests, literally everything for a few weeks now and it's still at 70%.

My elite sirenic poofed to dust yesterday.

Any news on this yet? :(

I just made a post about this and someone replied saying they weren't bothering with it anymore, if that's correct I'm utterly disappointed.

I agree, I'd love to see elite sets become viable again, either through cheaper repairs or some kind of set bonuses, preferably both.

I'd like to here a mods take on this too, I'll try to ask about it if I catch the next Q&A stream.

Just a few numbers so people can understand how ridiculously op ctmw is.

Elite Sirenic Set = 500m~
Elite Tectonic Set = 255m~
Trimmed Masterwork Set = 290m~

Don't forget, MW set is with gloves and BIS boots. If you want BIS boots for ranged and melee you have to pay another 30m~ for the T90 flarefrost/hailfire.

Repairing Elite Sirenic Set = 500m~ (use a new set on it lol)
Repairing Elite Tectonic Set = 255m~ (use a new set on it lol)
Repairing Trimmed Masterwork Set = 60m~ (use a NORMAL mw on it)

Components for creating the armors is also an issue, elite sirenic and tect parts have such low drop rates and require so many. masterwork just requires afk mining and smithing. Most posts on google I found says it takes around 15 hours to make.

There are so many methods to solve this.

1. Let us trim elite armours. Make them not d2d like trimmed mw, degrade 2x slower (200k charge), not degrade on task.

2. Let us use NORMAL sirenic/tect to repair like the masterwork instead of using an elite version on it.

3. If people are spending 3b+ to dye elites to make it non-d2d, at least make the repair costs cheaper.

4. Give the armour a set effect. Doesn't have to be as "op" as what was intended, damage or duration increase during sunshine/ds, just a small bonus like +10 ranged/magic bonus when worn is better than nothing.

5. Increase drop rates for elite parts.

Pretty please? I'm sure more people are looking forward to this than arch tbh. And I wouldn't mind spending to shadow dye an elite set if it doesn't take my kidney to repair it.

Another thing I'd like to see is some kind of repair or creation benefits on t90/t92 tectnic/sirenic sets using skills like runecrafting or crafting.

It would be nice to see craftable sets (similar to mw/tmw) for range and mage also.

Perhaps they could tie this in with the current t92 sets (in part)?

Here's my suggestion:

Make elite tectonic and elite sirenic repairable (as you've stated already) by using a set of the normal tectonic/sirenic on them. And then give them set bonuses.

On top of this maybe we could have have normal tectonic/sirenic become repairable? Maybe Jagex could create a craftable item for a normal sirenic set that makes it repairable and not d2d. Or some new gear that requires t90 mage/range to create?
Could also do something similar to masterwork requiring all previous content/materials that you could simply add on to t90 mage/range.
So for instance, you would need to craft this "add on" that can only be made using all types of leather armor pieces or leathers. You'd need something requiring normal leather, hard leather, green, blue, red, black and royal dragon hides, etc.
Maybe something similar for tectonic too.

The last bit is a lot of content to be sure, but at the very least, give them set bonuses and make the repairs reasonable.

Ya.. I really hope Jagex will address this.

Updating (elite) serenic and tectonic should make it at least on par with (trimmed) Masterwork armor. They should function the same in ELITE dungeons as well as have a nice set effect, in my opinion. They are rediculously expensive to make and the up-keep is through the roof for what they provide. Especially compared to masterwork armor.

Agreed especially now since cryptbloom is far cheaper to use than elite tectonic
