Back in June 2022, Mod Kieren Tweeted, "Even though we cannot backdate it, would players want us to permit you to keep your first untrimmed skillcape?

I've always felt uncomfortable about it, since those with 99s already would not be able to do this. That said, if people want it and vote for it?"

Is this idea still being considered?

When I got my first 99 (Firemaking) I was so excited. After I got my second 99 (Fletching) I was even more excited cause it would be trimmed, and I thought how fun it would be to have them both trimmed. Now that I have many other 99's I'd like to have a reminder of the first 99 I'd ever gotten. I didn't realize when I got the trimmed one, I'd never be able to get the untrimmed again.

And also fashionscape.

Just saying, but you wont be able to partake in this as since you have more than one and like said records arent kept of your first 99.

Neither will I for that matter so the only ones that will are ppl who get their first post update.

I am okay with not being able to get mine again, but when I first made the switch to the trimmed version, I did not even know I couldn't ever get it back. I feel that new players getting their first 99 should be allowed to always go back and get the untrimmed version of whatever their first 99 was. As much as I'd want mine now, I've already accepted the fact that I made the switch and therefore cannot get it back so I'm okay with it being gone, but the option should still be there for newer players.

Well im on OP's side that this shouldnt happen as too many ppl will be w/o it so its best just left as is IMO.

Plus they could easily include everyone by just giving capes an "un-trim" and "trim" option like they did in osrs for the achievement cape.

Just to throw my two cents in; I'd love to do away with the concept of having access to only one "untrimmed" cape per account entirely.

Whatever prestige having a rare "first 99" used to have doesn't really exist anymore (not when prismatic lamps/stars from Squeal of Fortune/Treasure Hunter, event rewards, etc. that can easily boost single skills above the rest have been a thing for a decade now and multiple methods of getting easy Prayer/Slayer XP without other combat XP like Corrupted Scarabs and Incense Sticks exist), and having this system in place only limits the possibilities for FashionScape.

So if they did this it would be for only current people who get their first 99 which would be a very small amount, but wouldn't this be kinda of redundant with keepsakes already in game?

To this day i remember my first 99, pray in rsc. Mainly because of all the bots back then that never picked up bones in giant cave in varrock lol
