Any guesses to what we're getting for christmas 2022 event?

Violet is blue 3? Santa's grotto? Presents from the sledge? Advent calendar? 13th Yak Track? Frank's free deaths?

Presents is most likely occurring as well as yak track. I'm hoping for frank's free death to return so I can try more bosses.

Going by the fact Eek and the Web Cloak from the 2009 Halloween were released, I predict that the Christmas Ghost costume and Candy Cane from the Christmas Warble event may be released.

The Santa Costume from 2008 is also a possibility given its high demand

Reindeer Antlers seem unlikely given how no one ever wears it or cares about it. That and it would be far more controversial to release given how much rarer it is

How can you say for certain no one cares about them?

Have you asked everyone ingame?

I care about them thus that already makes this statement null.

Plus just because they may be 'rarer" doesnt mean anything as they were never stated to be discontinued.

Not to mention i didnt ever see anyone wearing the Web Cloak yet it was still brought back.

So just because no one wears something doesnt mean they dont like it.

i don't see the issue with re-releasing any of the items. how can you sit there and say it's okay to re-release something from 2009 but go back another 3 years or so and it's off limits? that's just stupid. if they're re-releasing items from 2009 then eventually they'll go back further. it's inevitable.

There was already a precedent before where the Ice Necklace (2008) and the Snow Globe (2007) where released in the 2015 and 2016 Christmas Events. It wasn't too much of a shock to expect holiday items from 2009 to return given they had already released the aforementioned items.

Jagex is still testing the waters so to speak. If they release some old holiday items this Christmas it will either be the Santa Costume which is in high demand (the Ice Amulet from this event has already been rereleased so there's even more of an incentive) or the 2009 Snow Ghost costume (was a few months after Eek and Web Cloak was released originally). Perhaps the Snow Globe (2007) since it's been rereleased before.

If the Reindeer Antler Hat is to be released it will be in a few years time once it's normalised old holiday items will be returning. Maybe it will come in 2024/2025. I'm not saying it won't be rereleased but rather if it is it will be in a few years time.

Why must this "normalize" before they get rereleased?

You keep saying reasons but never explaining yourself.

Also, im pretty sure ppl were just as "shocked" at the globe and amulet being rereleased as ppl are for cloak and pet.

So i dont get where you got that thought process from. I mean, what do you mean by "there was already a precedent" when they got rereleased?

IIRC, they were one of if not the first items to be rereleased from those days.

An afterthought at this rate, they'll throw in the least work on a xmas "event" and try to milk the playerbase for their xmas money with op promos. December is when wallets open and they know that.

Those have always been one of my favorites.

That or the Oxford Antlers.
Agreed for the oxfam reindeer antlers I was ignoring the event back in '14 so I missed out hope the antlers return.
