The request to update construction dates back to 2010, if not earlier (I remember making a thread about the then newly released citadels having better upgrades than Player Owned Houses).
The problem was not that the training is bland, but that there is literally nothing worthwhile to train for: everything was already outdated in 2010. Since then we only had the aquarium added (which was a nice addition) but that is basically it.

Who actively uses their Player Owned Houses these days (outside of the rare occasion when armour needs repairing)? Even as a means of teleportation Player Owned Houses have become useless. The achievements one can display have not been updated either. People can duel other players everywhere these days, making the dungeon useless as well.

Some new training method is not going to fix this, nor would I actually know where to start anymore. As someone with 120 construction, I more see it as a relic of the past. Even the urge I once had for it to be updated has subsided.

You got it all wrong regarding construction training. There have been many new game features added in the past decade. They were just not being added in the POH.

You are conceptually wrong if you think POH = construction. Jagex's recent actions in their games speak louder than thunder - we don't need to confine ourself to POH for construction trianing and POH is just a small part of construction activities.

No. The World Guardian owns too many Player Owned things already. The World Guardian has too big a job to save Gielinor. The World Guaridan owns a house. The open world Gielinor is his home.

A house is not a home, a horse is not alone! :)

Construction is already easy to train to 99. There is no incentive to train it past 99 other than an aesthetic cape. The workbench pretty much made the butler and POH training useless. The flat packs are just used to be disassembled. POH before was pretty much useful for storage and a free elite clue scroll. Construction needs more than a newer way to train it. There is already no real reason to train it. Being a good boy is hard work.

New players obviously don't start with 99 construction. I think there will be new rewards associated with the new way to train construction. There are still reasons to train construction even when we are level 99+. :)
