It says in the news post you merely have to train the skill. Mentions nothing about needing to actually level or add to your xp total for it to count. Whether you are level 1 woodcutting, level 99 woodcutting, or 200m woodcutting, cutting a tree is training woodcutting. People really over think these things. Rawr!

Pretty sure I saw it say leveling earlier in the news post. Guessing it's been changed since it says training now.

Yep news post has been changed from levelling up to gain xp. I got 3 accounts 1 max xp and other 2 all 120's and I thought it was just a con to get people to make new accounts so I am glad it got changed.

Any news on if irons can take part?

It was stated on their Facebook page in reply to someone asking the very question. I am not scrolling through the thousands of comments but it's there for you to see.
