I think what'll be most interesting is that
if
Zamorak is killed outright, that there's no real "bad guy" gods left in play. There'll only be Saradomin, Armadyl, and the newly ascended Azzanadra.
Since them remaining on world would certainly result in "good guy" domination over the world - as Saradomin & Armadyl, by their own admission, share a lot of ideals. Azzanadra seems a bit lost in ideals & has no major following, and has no experience in god-ness so I can't see him being the next "big threat". So, the end result has to be either Zamorak survives on world OR we succeed in recreating the Edicts and banishing them. In the latter, Zamorak
probably
survives basically just so there's an excuse for the other gods not to try and return (Too busy fighting Zamorak in space!).
Assuming the gods are banished, then it comes down to the powerful, but non-divine, characters to make a play. Out of the existing quest series, we know there's mahjarrat (many of whom support Zamorak), the dragonkin, vampyres, and Amascut from the desert pantheon who seem to have serious physical power & could be a threat to significantly large swathes of the world (just not the world as a whole). Plus lesser threats from the pirate, Glouphrie, and possibly monkey/penguin series, who are more localised threats.
So, I think this post-Zamorak world will be picking up on these. We're not going to be saving the world or the universe any more. We'll be back to saving smaller groups here & there. The only other line I can see if Zaros
still
pushing for elder godhood, and us having to foil him off-world. (as if he remains a normal god, the edicts would stop him)
Guess we'll just have to wait & see! Exciting times though.
If you only do what you can do, you will never be more than you are now.
