Just curious as to if we will be getting any clarification on what the future of lucky items will be. I have been collecting them for quite a while and have quite a few, including the entire GWD armor collection. I'm still working on finishing the barrows sets so I'm curious if the TH update will officially discontinue them, or if there will be other sources for these alternative items. Now with added

AFAIK, all TH cosmetic items will be obtainable outside TH, but there is a grace period of at least one year. Nothing including Lucky items is going to be discontinued, and on the contrary, we should get at least one way if not many more to get them later on outside TH. The question is just when and what new methods we are going to get them with.

This is a very valid point, though I would counter with the fact that lucky items aren't "cosmetics" in a strict sense. They're relatively high level items with stats. Though I suppose most people wouldn't see them that way, in a game with gear that scales from 1-95, 75 is the lower end of high-level.

Plus thres the fact they have some major "debuffs" mostly being that they cant be augmented.

Hence for all intent and purposes, they might as well be cosmetic.

Adding them to the oddments store would make little sense as they are supposed to be a "lucky" item.

If they would end up beeing discontinued then that would be a nice sort of upgrade to the existing items. Lucky items never have been popular it seems though personally i have always very much apreciated them. They are cosmetic items but only show up once you examine another character.

It would make me pretty sad if they ended up beeing in the oddments store. Imo jagex should not change the nature and value of some of those rare rewards. Specially items that only have cosmetic value and no monetary value should remain untouched. It would be nice if they stayed special and not end up in the oddments store for cheap like the items from the rare item store..

Rest assured, unless Jagex want to make a complete U-turn, "Lucky" items will never be discontinued. The question is only how do they plan to release them.

To me, "Lucky" definitely means something RNG based. It is absolutely anti-climatic for us to be "lucky" just to pay a fixed amount of whatever currency, mind it gp, bonds, oddments or anything you can think of.

Umbral chest is one of such "lucky" source, which is also one which "lucky" gear comes from. There are also other similar RNG based mechanics outside TH in the game already. Smashing Relics, Raffle (or whatever its new name is now), PInatas etc.

I never see the Lucky Divine/Ely SS anymore yet still aspire to one day own one. Have they been off TH awhile O_o ?

alongside lucky dragon items and lucky bandos boots, yes they are discontinued. They haven't been available since TH was SOF.

I too wish to see the return of them. My friend has a lucky divine and I'm so jealous.
