Good evening, good day,

I don't think veteran players should continue paying for membership if we aren't receiving the same benefits as the FSW players. Most of us have bought enough membership to cover a year or two. I've been a premium member I believe since it came out. I grew up playing Runescape, and here I am 15 years later. Still mining, still fishing, slaying, having a great time....but....along came FSW. Why do these new players and returning players get so many more rewards than the veteran players? Even after rewriting the post, or adjusting the announcement, I'm still furious.

All worlds should have fresh start bonuses, and be accessible to all. If this game is to maintain its integrity, it must maintain its equality. The most damaging thing the FSW presents is that these new accts get a 20% drop bonus. Most of us have worked hard to build up our GP, and to collect those rare pets...that they even hint of this is spitting in our faces.

I don't know who will read this, or if this will even catch fire. But this isn't right. lining your own pockets by enticing those who abandoned the game or didn't have an interest is a slap in the face to the entirety of the current player base.

All the rewards should be accessible to all accounts. I don't know that I want to continue my journey with you all after this event passes. I will be canceling if all accounts aren't treated equally. Where I live, equality is a big issue and isn't ignored.

Please share, bump and entice as many people to follow suit. Jagex wants the new and lapsed players over the veterans/current base. These players aren't currently here, nor have they supported Jagex through the years. Why do they get special handouts, while we get little capes that tell how many years we've put in?

I wish you well and thank you for reading my post. Please meditate on the ideas before posting. We are only as strong as we are many.

Actually more existing RS3 players are happy than you think, especially when plenty of us are planning on doing FSW worlds. We can also use gp to get bonds to play there for free too.

Since we must create a new account to play FSW, we can log both our main and FDW alt and do different things at the same time.

Don't you realize we can also get FSW rewards from other sources? So no worry if you don't want to play FSW. You can get them later. You probably will only miss the competition rewards but the vast majority of us won't win anyway.

Depending on what the reward for the event is (I'd imagine the Challenger Halo, Halo of Returning, and 'the Fresh' titles are the exceptions to this due to those rewards being centered on the different experience Fresh Start Worlds are supposed to provide) - those rewards will be available to other members at a later date. One of the changes that was brought about to Fresh Start Worlds from feedback that largely sounds similar to yours.

As for the event itself - the issue is not about giving new or lapsed players "special incentives" to play RuneScape - it's to address concerns many players have about playing RuneScape in 2022, which I think can best be interpreted as the following:

"I might be more keen on playing RuneScape if I could play alongside my friends and do the same things they are doing right from the get go, with all of us having fun starting all over again. I'd also like to be able to make a bunch of progress in the meantime, because my friends who are already playing the game are leagues ahead of me in terms of progress."

This is RuneScape's first suggestion of something akin to "level boosting" or what have you in other games such as World of Warcraft. New/Lapsed players should use this game mode to try and get through as much of the early game as quickly as possible and then they should be enjoying their experience by the time the event ends and their accounts become normal Rs3 accounts.

With that in mind, it's not -supposed- to feel like an inequality thing. You got to play RuneScape in a more booming time for players, met some friends, and earned your accomplishments alongside them. These players are playing during a post-peak time in hopes of revitalizing RS among newer and former players.

Now - It's absolutely fair game to criticize certain aspects of the game mode. This needs to happen from everyone, those participating, and those are aren't, so that changes are made if needed next time.

Veteran and new players are never on equal ground for games to survive.

Why complain about "equality" when there are already plenty of "inequalities" in Jagex's games as new player experience content always give players faster xp rates. For instance, Lumbridge Catacomb in RS3, and Below Ice Mountain and Guardian of the Rift in OSRS.
