According to today's This Week In RuneScape, the "April" wish will come out on the 24th of May.
Yes, and they pretty much told us the wishes are similar to the Fate Cards, only with more choices to the players. I'll definitely watch tomorrow's livestream to see what great choices we are going to have.
WOW!!! Watched the livestream and the showcase just now. It is a huge selection covering all kinds of activities and we the players dictate when to use the charges on what content. It does expire either. Really cool.
Actually I am thinking the new things they are adding may not be just a one-off thing. When we use up all the charges, we may be able to gain more charges in the future. This will be a really cool thing like being able to use more than 2 D&D tickets consecutively in the future.

It would hardly be the first time they did something that would have mechanics utilized again later.
I don't think they are going to do something like:
oh ... monthly dnd tokens = 20%, dailies = 1%, aura refreshes = x% ... I can just use stuff I never use to recharge the thing and use it forever.
Also, keep in context as to why this was made:
Players were literally unable to play the game. Community was affected and responded heavily.
This should be considered the final culmination of a business doing something to retain players.
I think players are going to need to lower their expectations if they think Jagex is just going to recharge the thing next time there is some technical oopsie.
Could they add the 50/100/200% charge to affected players in the future? eh ... sure ... maybe.
But the seriousness of it is going to need to be that you were unable to even log into the game for long periods of time ... not just some 1 hour bug or such.

Why should players expect Jagex to recharge the Guardian's Gifts later? They may make it rechargeable, but we will have to play the game for the charges if they make it a regular in game item.
More like we will be able to earn charges from the likes of Yak Tracks and live events like Travelling Artisan or seasonal events. We may be able to have a rare chance to win a few charges on TH too, but I am highly doubtful we will be able to recharge it with any existing items.
Oh well, better than an arrow shaft in the eye.

You can buy XP. You can't buy experience.
"...From The 'Scape" is very nearly here.
