For the first time we are getting combat ability override with Journey to Iaia.

I am pretty sure we are going to have more ability overrides like Death Switfness and eventually we will have VFX with all kinds of abilities as previewed in the "VFX R&D" project.

This is very cool. What ability and VFX overrides do you want to see next?

I'd like to see some overrides for the basic combat spell casting animation. Remember when each elemental spell had a unique animation? It would be nice to see those revived. Never uses treasure hunter keys. Never buys runecoins or bonds. Never pays extra for 'Premier' status or passes. Never will.

Primary challenge to combat ability overrides is a lot of them have a very short duration.
Second issue is if you add an override for am existing ability, it takes that animation (and possible effect) away from a future ability.

Ultimate abilities tend to work better due to their longer duration, even if you can't use them as frequently.
Like Metamorphosis where you change them from the basic 4 elements to say the Ancient 4 Magicks.
Tsunami imagine burying someone under lava, wind, money, skulls/undead.
Unload where you throw random objects like from the Oddball Aura

Casting time may be short but it doesn't mean the aftermath visual effect has to be short.

Remember, it may take only a split second to cast Sunshine but the actual visual effect of Sunshine last 30-38 seconds.

I do not like how they're focusing on combat ability overrides, like do you really have to go even more in depth with PVM, after all the focus you already have on PVM, you HAVE TO DO MORE???

facepalm, anyways to add more, the new sunshine override ability looks like a massive player identification icon..........not a fan of it 0.o
