Just a heads up; in today's livestream, the Mods confirmed that Orthen is planned to be the major content update for October. Being "penciled in" means that the release date is not set in stone, so it might get pushed back depending on what happens in the next two months, but even if that happens it shouldn't be that much longer of a wait.

For those worried that this means no Hallowe'en, don't be: Hallowe'en is still happening as well, and there's even a plan for it to include Miniquest-style content like the old days.

I am glad personally that Orthen is coming soon, as I expect I will enjoy that update and play it quite a bit. However, I suspect that with most RuneScape players, GWD3 will be the more popular update, so it's unfortunate that it has to be delayed.
Of course, if the delay helps it to be done right, it's not entirely a bad thing.

Not according to Jagex. They said in livestreams that players love Kerapac and the Dragonkin stories. Originally Kerapac wasn't planned to be a big part of the Elder God saga, but due to popular demand they added a whole chapter of Kerapac and Dragonkin lore.

Under their original plan, we probably would be having Zaros and Elder God content now, but probably due to marketing intelligence we are going to see Kerapac and his kin more for at least the next 2 or 3 months probably before we finally confront the Elder Gods.

I didn't watch it but I see the RS page is up on stream and they wont delay that. Does this mean we will finally get Ancient overloads with the update, or will it be junk potions that take up like 50 bank spaces and 10 hours to make and no one uses like primal feasts.

I hope its not just another dig site with nothing new to unlock.

As usual following the Monthly Cadence reveal format, we'll have to wait until its next reveal on content of the Orthen Digsite.

There have been very useful potions in the last batch that came with 120 Herblore. If you don't need some of them you can always make the other useful ones

Apparently I know that the term "penciled in" means. It means the Oct 19 release date is penciled in not just the News, but also on the top of the Runescape Home Page.
