Probably we will have auras that help Archaeology, but we are probably going to get them with more than one ways. Remember, Jagex is working on reworks on auras, currencies and stores. Not just the new auras (including the Archaeology ones), but the mechanics in obtaining all the existing auras will be changed too.
Ideally chronotes - with 5 archaeology ranks they easily could add one aura tier per rank. Precision would be probably better than focus to be in line with other auras, that are increasing your general gathering speed.
That said to get resourcefulness out of MTX they could either add them to the store as well (maybe assistant rank for 20k chronotes or so) or have aura fragments randomly dropped while doing archaeology, mining and woodcutting (since it actually is a multi skill aura). In contrary to the berserker auras it shouldn't be instantly removed from the loyality store, but rather with a one month grace period so players who wanted to buy it still could.

Why does Archaeology have to have an aura associated with it when we don't have auras for many very old school skills. Don't we want firemaking and construction auras first?
