couple bad reviews, there goes the new players

much talk on the homepage, but no changes to new player environments or content

push mtx everyday with over 5 different promos a day, but can't create a new 15 minute intro quest to runescapes lore?

this will most likely fail.. for OS maybe? Nope, rslite wins again.

Where to begin:

1) everything is about MTX
2) shit combatsystem
3) can't move using WASD
4) outdated player characters
5) new artstyle looks childish

New players won't be intrested. 90% of the current playerbase are veterans. Valar morghulis

if u want to escape and get friends or married or be in a relationship rs is the game for you

althrough its against the rules to do so, mod warden said its ok :)

Solicitation
It is not okay to ask for a boyfriend or girlfriend in-game. This is not a dating website after all!

Steam reviews are mostly recycled bot comments, even for Steam's own games. Shurg! But who cares as the Steam people don't even read them themselves. :D

Agreed.

So im still sure that ppl might use it despite what the reviews might say.

I'm a bit skeptical of this launch on Steam. All this will do is provide a steady source of advertising Jagex themselves have been really bad at. While it's true we could get a few new players who will stay long-term, I seriously doubt this will result in a substantial increase in the concurrent player population.

Personally, my thumbs are crossed for the full release of RS3 on mobile. That's a change that is guaranteed to increase the concurrent player count substantially. Shame the Covid-19 and this sort of marketing will slow that mobile release. Well, at least Jagex is getting serious about advertising RS more aggressively now. Better late than never.
