I am impartial to the change too. I actually welcome better experience for new and mid tier players. Most players are going to find more fun experiencing low and mid tier Necromancy content in the next few months anyway.

For high level mobs, I doubt if the change matters as much as I believe Necromancy mobs will become the next meta for combat training. A few high level Necro slayer mobs, bosses or ED and such will totally tip the current scale.

Not saying that the current calculation would even be remotely perfect - it certainly isn't at lower and medium levels (which caused players to become creative with their levelling in the first place) - but I honestly think they should come up with something better than basing it purely on HP once more - and if it's just calculating a combat level out of their stats (rather than bumping on random numbers) for monsters and give xp based on that.

While it probably won't be the crap it was before the EoC for additional reasons, which outright forced you to look for high hp, low defence (not that important nowadays, since we no longer have those uncanny missing chances most of the time), preferably also low offence (also no longer that important, since we have better options to recuperate on the fly) than back in the day targets for training purposes, it doesn't really reward you for fighting strong things anymore. It's just too biased for things you could AoE down now (since yeah - higher DPM -> more xp), instead of fighting stronger single target enemies. Some places will become heavily overrun for this reason, while they just have destroyed a lot of currently viable alternatives just due how xp are calculated.

I mean lower and medium levels will most likely even benefit from those change - which is an improvement for necromancy, considering we'll start from zero. Someone on reddit said we also can still achieve decent xp/h - which certainly is a must, considering we need to go to 120 to have comparable performance than the other styles at 99.

No. It will be almost as bad as how eoc ruined xp. Not looking forward to the nerf for the sake of extending time to 200m necro.

If you are aiming for "200m necro", I am very sure you should be studying new necro mobs as they are the way for the best experience and fun.
