This has to be one of the worst quests ever designed. And partly because of how Anachronia functions in the game.
Firstly some feedback when desgining areas, Anachronia is gigantic large area, but when trying to navigate you are blocked and stopped by a bunch of cliffs, ledges and trees.
A huge open area should be that, open. Because every time you reach a dead end you have to run around for 10x as long because everything is scaled up. it's really really really unfun to do that.
Secondly this "quest" is basically tracking and collecting "items" (that don't even appear on the ground to be picked up) and dialogue.
It was very boring, and the use of anachronia simply makes it annoying to do.
It is a bit annoying the way the island is laid out.
I tried to track some insects yesterday and gave up because I couldn't remember how to get to a part of Anachronia, my way was blocked by various obstacles.
I'll try again once I've worked it out but it would be nice if it was easier to navigate.
"All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain"
For help getting around, try using the agility course. It's fairly easy to spot the route as there are signs to point the way, and there is a mud trail on the ground where much footfall has worn away the grass.
There aren't many dead ends in Anachronia. Yes it's big, but follow the routes and it's fairly simple to get around.
Anachronia is designed with the focus on the usefulness of the Agility Course and the Digsite Teleportation Devices. To navigate to different parts of Anachronia easily, we need to level up Agility and Archaeology. This is the good design to make Archaeology and Agility useful and very rewarding for all kinds of content on Anachronia. Desperate Creatures is no exception.
I can't finish this. Done all the specimen collecting, returned to Curator, tells me to speak to Seren on the 1st floor - no option to speak to Seren about the quest.
