I sold a splintering arrow in ge for 747gp and in history it said 762 and yea ik the tax was 15gp but I like the osrs tax system better can we have osrs tax system copied into rs3? I like that system better. Also I tested a buy on gold partyhat it bought for 149.5m but it showed i bought for 146,510,000 so I think 146,510,000 show have been removed from my pouch instead of 149.5m flat.

I have to imagine that over time the percentage is subject to change. If anything, something is better than nothing and that they can utilize what they are currently doing to model something better in the future :P . - (Owner) Ornery Onions -

We don't need OSRS GE system in RS3 because:

(1) We don't want the OSRS Jenga GE system in RS3. We want free market economy in RS3. We want tax being drained out of the RS3 robust economy and not being used to bail out big ticket endgame gear.

(2) We are going to have a far better GE system with many great features not applicable to OSRS. For instance, we are going to be able to trade over max cash with ease and risk free soon.

(3) The way RS3 GE is showing us what net gp we get is what the vast majority of games with AH/GE system show. New and lapsed players returning to RS3 from modern games should be more comfortable with today's RS3 GE as they are getting closer to the vast majority of modern games.

I bought 1 fire rune for 129 (offer) and paid 129. History says I bought for 129

I sold 1 fire rune for 129 (offer) and received 127 after tax. History says I sold for 129

So I think that's as it should be. True, I didn't get 129 for it, but that's the price I sold it for, which is what I want to know from the GE history. However, I can see where someone else might want to know the amount they actually received, instead.

First, stop saying " we" like you speak for everyone who plays RS3. You are not the voice of the players. Not everyone agrees with what you say nor the Jmods. Hence Mod Jack left this update open to improvements.

Second you act like Rs3 and OSRS are run by two different game companies. In case you forgot, they are under one roof. If they wanted to copy OSRS, they certainly can.

They are certainly not copying OSRS because they don't want to. They talked about it many times they don't want plats and they put GE tax in RS3 only to offset Death Cost Reduction, unlike OSRS put up GE Tax not to remove gp but to artificially support prices of selected items.

Different objeectives between RS3 and OSRS. We simply won't have OSRS's GE in RS3, yes we, meaning all of us, regardless you like it or not because this is the GE Jagex is giving to all of us RS3 players and we all are already seeing it today and this is just the beginning. There will be more GE features tailored for we RS3 players coming a little later.

Umm, I'm a massive trader and I do not mind the 2% update. What you guys whining about... 2% come on. However if they were to stop thinking what else to do and just start raising this, at all, it'd pis me off

@JagexTeam

At current time - why was Alpha version released? Or this is it? If so, its awfully implemented. The usage of it to find actively sold/bought price ranges is horrible.

If the tax is applied, then show it in numbers either during the sale or in Sell/Buy Log.

The fact that it's 'automatically applied' and not shown means, when I price check something, i have to add the 2% to the Bought/Sold items price and this means I have to have calculator ready for every single transaction. And unless you've forgotten, the iOS Runescape logs you out after like 3 seconds of inactivity. So there should definitely be visible math available to assess the price range in which I'm operating realistically.

Sold: Item / Amount / Price Each: 1500 - 30 = 1470 / Price Total Before / Price Total After

Thanks.
