Right - haven't fully followed what happened over the course of years. I just knew back in the day there was an optimal route with and without the wilderness - it makes sense the latter evolved to staying at the castle and pickpocketing the rogues in the downtime. But neither should be too shabby now, when they were optimal a few years ago, it's not like we have to stick to some training method from two decades ago. Thieving hasn't evolved that much recently with the exception of the pickpocketing revamp in the past few years. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2

Do you know cooldown of the safes in Zemouregal's fort remains the same?

If you intend to xp waste standing still waiting off the cooldown of the safes, you may rather do it in Zemouregal's Fort now to get more xp.
