Why don't they stagger the server maintenance and only take half the servers offline perform the maintenance and repeat with the other half. We're all here because we're not all there

I thought I'd be able to log in and use a world that's not on the maintenance list but that hasn't been possible.

The support pages lists the lobbies as well as worlds being down. I guess that is the difference today. If your local login server is down you can't get to any world.
