Ids there any plan on making it so the toolbelt hatchet can be removed? Like the Pickaxe and Mattock. Since I already have a Dragon Hatchet. I would like to use this to upgrade to the Imacando. Instead of being forced to obtain another one in order to create the Imcando Hatchet.

If you have access to invention you can ask Doc to remove it once. At least for the crystal hatchet you were able to use the tool belted one for the upgrade (albeit the crystal hatchet then also was tool belted) - maybe the very same thing is possible for imcando.

Otherwise - the dragon hatchet is neither incredibly rare to re-obtain, nor expensive if you want to buy it.

I understand it is not difficult to obtain or expensive. My issue is more under the principle of why is this not a thing? Why can't hatchets be removed and swapped out on the toolbelt? When the other tools can. Also using the invention to upgrade it defeats the purpose. If it gets added back to the toolbelt immediately. I would want to augment the Imcando one.

Technically you only can do this with post rework pickaxes and mattocks - which both feature tools, that either can be fairly expensive - or complex to come by. For all other tools it's a system that literally assumes you either do not have to take the tools out ever again (I mean - pre-invention there basically was no reason other than to sell it) - or it's just some low value junk, that's getting destroyed by replacing it by something better (basically rune pickaxes and hatchets at most).

Seeing that there are people currently destroying their crystal hatchets (which by definition certainly have quite some effort to come by), I do agree with it being adequate to introduce that functionality as well for hatchets.

It is your choice to use an unaugmented dragon hatchet in your toolbelt, while you have the better choice to have an augmented dragon hatchet or better not in your toolbelt. It is also your choice to have both an unagumented dragon hatchet in your toolbelet as well as an augmented dragon hatchet not in your toolbelt for even more convenience. RS3 intended us to have all kinds of choices of our own.
